Mrs. Kim Klein began serving as Child Nutrition Supervisor of Amherst County Public Schools in 2007. Prior to her role in ACPS she was a Dietitian for the WIC program in the Central Virginia Health District.
Mrs. Klein earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech. She then completed her Masters of Science degree in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech with a concentration in Community Nutrition. She also completed her Dietetic Internship with the Virginia Department of Health to become a Registered Dietitian.
Mrs. Klein currently resides in Rustburg, VA with her husband Kevin. Kim and Kevin have two sons, K.J. and Kameron.

 


 Summer 2022

ACPS summer programs begin on June 13, 2022.  All ACPS summer sites will offer free breakfast and free lunch to students that participate in summer programs.  All children under the age of 18 can come to one of our sites during the posted meal times to pick up a free breakfast or free lunch.  Parents can also pick up meals for their children without them being present.  Menus for each site can be found below.

Summer Program Sites and Meal Times

ACHS:  6/15 - 8/5, M-Th, Breakfast 8:15 - 9:15,  Lunch 11:00-12:15

Amelon:  6/13 - 8/5, M-F,  Breakfast 8:30 - 9:30,  Lunch 11:30 - 12:45

AES:  6/15 - 7/14, M-Th, Breakfast 8:15 - 9:00,  Lunch 11:15 - 12:30

MHES:  6/15 - 7/14, M-Th, Breakfast 8:15 - 9:00,  Lunch 11:15 - 12:30

All sites are closed on July 4th

This school year Child Nutrition staff are dealing with nationwide supply chain disruptions.  If may be necessary to make menu substitutions when a product is not available or not able to be delivered on time.  We are working diligently with our vendors to provide all of our students with their favorite items.  We are thankful for your patience as we work through these challenging times.
