Student Registration

Registering your Student with ACPS

Please use one of the links below to begin the online pre-registration for a new student.

After completing the online pre-registration for grades K-12, please call your child’s school to schedule an appointment to complete the in-person registration process.

 

  • If you do not have internet access, please visit one of our WiFi access locations at any of our schools and the Amherst & Madison Heights Public Libraries. If you are unable to access these locations or do not have a device, please schedule a time to meet with the school administrator at your child’s school.

If you plan to register your new student at a school outside of your assigned zone, there are specific steps to take. Please register them at their "home" school first, then fill out an ACPS Out-of-zone Request form between May 1st and July 15th.

 

The following documentation is required to be provided to your child’s school as part of the school registration process:

  • Proof of Residency (for example: electric, water, or cable bill)
  • Child’s Birth Certificate
  • Commonwealth of Virginia School Entrance Health Form (MCH213G) to include the child’s complete immunization record and well-child check (Code of Virginia § 22.1-270).
  • Proof of required immunizations

  • Additional medical & health documents
