Title III

Title III English Learners (ELs)

Title III is a federally funded support program to address English language proficiency and academic achievement of English Learners (ELs). This program supports students by helping them learn English and meet challenging state content achievement standards. A teacher is available to work with students and families to help ensure their needs are met in the area of literacy development.

  • Title III Information - VDOE

    Federal funds awarded under Title III support programs to address English language proficiency and academic achievement of English Learners (ELs), including the provision of language instruction educational programs (LIEPs) and activities that increase the knowledge and skills of teachers who serve ELs. Title III programs also provide enhanced instructional opportunities for immigrant children and youths.
