Beginning in kindergarten, students are taught specific content related to history, geography, civics, and economics. Once they reach the 4th grade, social studies courses become more focused in nature, usually emphasizing a particular place and/or time. High school students seeking more challenging content can elect to take Advanced Placement (AP) courses. In order to graduate, all high school students are required to successfully complete the Economics and Personal Finance Course.
