All Points Employee Assistance Program

Messaging for Amherst County Public Schools EAP Session Model
All Amherst County Public Schools faculty and staff, dependents, and household members have access to the full suite of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Services – Mental Health Counseling, Work/Life Consultation & Referral, Personal Assistant Support, Financial Consultation, Legal Consultation, Life Coaching, Medical Advocacy. For Mental Health Counseling services, members are entitled to up to 4 sessions per issue per year free of charge within the context of the EAP short-term, solution-focus model of care. Most presenting life challenges can be managed within the context of this model of care. For more clinically complex, acute problems (e.g., severe depression, active addiction, chronic marital discord), the EAP counselor may need to refer you to a more specialized treatment provider or facility, which is best equipped to deliver the specificity of care required. If such a referral is warranted, the EAP counselor will work with you to coordinate care within your health insurance network to help ensure a cost-effective, sustainable plan of ongoing care.
